The PD505LF is a digital license free radio from Hytera. Supporting both analogue and digital communications, the PD505LF is ideal for a number of working environments such as manufacturing, events or hospitality. Built to IP54 standards, this radio has a limited ingress protection against dust, whilst also being able to withstand splashes of water. Coming with a 1500mAh battery, this gives you up to 16 hours of use with the PD505LF in digital mode.
VOX Voice Activation is present on this device, allowing for hands free communication should it be needed. A single programmable button allows for customisation of the device, which also has basic encryption. Pre-Programmed text messages are also able to be sent from the PD505LF, up to 256 characters these messages can be used in order to relay a non-urgent message.
Supports analog and digital radio
The PD505LF was developed in compliance with the ETSI Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) standard. The handheld radio supports license-free operation according to DMR Tier I. It can also be operated as an analog radio.

Individual button design
The two rotary buttons of the radio transceiver are separated by the antenna. This design prevents operating errors.
Reliability
The PD505LF meets all requirements of the open DMR ETSI standard (ETSI-TS 102 361-1, -2, -3), the MIL810-C/D/E/F/G standard, and degree of protection IP54. Thus excellent features are offered even under harsh operating conditions.

- Scan function for analog and digital channels: The radio’s scan function searches for preprogrammed channels. If a call is detected on a channel, the device stays on that channel until the call is over.
- Although the PD505LF has no display, it supports text messages: Up to 25 preprogrammed text messages can be saved. Two can be sent using a programmable button by pressing or pressing and holding.
- Programmable button that can be assigned two functions. These functions can be selected by pressing or pressing and holding.
- Status LED: The status LED shows if the radio is sending, receiving, scanning, or if the battery is empty, for example. Use the radio programming to disable individual status displays.
- Hytera basis encryption with 40 Bit

- TDMA direct mode for DMR: Two independent conversations can be held simultaneously on one frequency.

For no extra cost, we supply labels with all of our radios.
Our labels are unique in that they have a space where you can write on them with a sharpie-type permanent marker. You can either use this space to write a radio number or apply a dymo label for example. These labels are 100% free of charge

Hytera Warranty & Extension Options
All Hytera two way radios carry a 24 month return to base (RTB) warranty. Hytera will guarantee you a working radio by offering a repair for a period of two years from the purchase invoice date. The warranty only covers the radio itself and does not cover the battery, antenna or any other consumables or accessories.

Warranty offered is a manufacturer's warranty and is directly with Hytera. However, all warranty claims must be made via Radotronics.
Note: Return to Base (RTB) means that you are responsible for the postage cost to Hytera for a warranty claim. However, Hytera will return the item to you or your dealer free of charge. * Does not include shipping time.
