Hytera PD415

The PD415 is a UHF/VHF two way radio from Hytera. With a black box design the PD415 remains simple aesthetically whilst having the ability to perform many complex functions. Being both analogue and digital compatible means that the PD415, when used on digital frequencies, has exceptional sound and voice quality. Another positive of an analogue/digital radio is that it can be used for system migration, when changing over from an analogue set of radios to digital the PD415 can be used alongside the analogue radios until you have fully transitioned to digital.

This radio has 48 channels split over 3 zones with 16 channels in each zone. This allows for the channels and zones to be split between different sectors of your workforce, ideal in large enterprises or companies where workers such as cleaners don’t necessarily need to be in communication with engineers. The PD415 has basic digital encryption meaning that conversations are safe from eavesdropping, this means that any potentially sensitive subjects remain private to only the people who need to hear them. Quick text messaging is also a possibility with the PD415, this allows for short 64 character messages to be sent.

The PD415 is a fairly compact radio standing at 112mm in height, 55mm in width and 31mm in depth. Weighing at 280g (Whilst 1500mAh Li-Ion Battery Attatched), this means the radio can be easily carried via the use of a belt clip or hand strap with no strain to the user. As previously mentioned the PD415 is supplied as standard with a 1500mAh Li-Ion battery, this will allow for a standard usage time of 12 hours when performing on analogue and 16 hours whilst on digital.

The PD415 supports all digital and analogue call types incuding individual call, group call, emergency call and all call.

Embedded Support fo RFiD

RFiD is a method in which to facilitate tracking of individual's movements inside buildings, very similar to the solution GPS offers outdoors. With an embedded RFID reader, PD415 can read the information of an RFID tag and automatically send it out via the radio. These RFID and data auto-transmission features enable the PD415 to work with Hytera Patrol System (a real-time security guard solution), or for when a tour guide is showing a large group of people around a complex.

Open API For Software Development

Hytera offers the open API of the PD415 for development of further applications.

Analogue & Digital Mixed Channel

A very unique feature of the Hytera PD415 is that it can detect both analogue and digital signal and automatically switch between the two modes to receive it on a single channel. When it receives an incoming message on either analogue or digital a "talkback timer" initiates and enables the user to respond on the mode received. This feature makes a better migration from analogue radio to digital radio and allows for the gradual investment into digital radios.

The Hytera PD415 is compliant with MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G standards & IP54 for resistance against dust and water.

Long Battery Life

The Hytera PD415 is offered with two battery options, a 1500mAh or you can upgrade to a 2000mAh battery. Using the radio for 5% receive, 5% transmit and 90% standby, in digital mode will give you up to 16 hours of use with the 1500mAh battery and up to 24 hours wtith the 2000mAh battery.

One Touch Call/Text

Even without a display, the PD415 supports One Touch features that comprise of Voice Calls and Preprogrammed Text Messages.

VOX - Voice Activation

The VOX (Voice-operated Transmit) feature allows you to trigger the voice transmission with your voice directly rather than PTT button press. This means you can use the radio hands-free.

FREE Radio ID Labels Supplied & Applied

For no extra cost, we supply labels with all of our radios.

Our labels are unique in that they have a space where you can write on them with a sharpie-type permanent marker. You can either use this space to write a radio number or apply a dymo label for example. These labels are 100% free of charge

Ofcom Two Way Radio Licence Options
